I welcome apocalypse with open arms May its flames burn us to ashes And the floods wash our scorched remains To the oceans where we'll stay 'til the end of time Never to return. A former paradise plagued by greed Benevolence forgotten as evil reigns Come hell and high water Erase us from existence No one’s going to miss us. We never mattered Our end is long overdue. We never learn No faith in humanity, selfish to the bitter end Detrimentally hedonistic sacks of putrid filth A former paradise plagued by greed Benevolence forgotten as evil reigns Come hell and high water Erase us from existence Nearsighted fools cause their own destruction Only evolve when forced to When it's already too late Make true my visions of the end The superior human race Our end will be our own doing All of us will be brought To our knees before the vengeful god of fire

This album is just 100/100, like so many albums from mgla. How can a band hit the spot so many times? They are incredible. Thank you for accompanying me almost daily these days :) adrianradillo

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
